Through the donations of our members, the PWC has been able to provide coaching, training, and competition opportunities for the University of Pittsburgh wrestling team. The Pitt wrestling team has relied on funding from the PWC to maintain a full-time staff as well as bring in additional coaching through the volunteer position. Outside training opportunities allows Pitt wrestlers to take their skills to higher levels. Being able to send athletes to the Olympic Training Center to train with world caliber wrestlers has proved to be an invaluable experience for our team. Out of season competitions has allowed our wrestlers to gain mat time against not only our countries best, but international level wrestlers as well. Annually, the PWC takes athletes and coaches to competitions across the U.S. such as the Sunkist Kids International Open, Fila University Nationals, Northeast Regionals, Senior Nationals, and the World Team Trials. Over the past 5 years the PWC has sent wrestlers and coaches to international competitions in Canada, China, Guatemala, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Poland. With your support we can continue to better Pitt wrestling and help more individuals achieve their goals.
